Arthur Birling:  Typical business man of the capitalist class/Arrogant and without any kind of moral/ He does not accept his guilt for Eva’s death.

Sybil Birling:  Arthur’s wife/ Like him, she refuses any responsibility for Eva’s death/ Conservative and worried about what people could think about the family’s reputation.

Eric:  Son of Arthur and Sybil Birling/Thoughtful person as the story unfolds/ He accepts his responsibility for Eva’s death and his alcohol addiction.

Sheila:  Daughter of Arthur and Sybil Birling/Sensitive and honest person as the story unfolds/ Fully conscious of her guilt.

Gerarld Croft:  He is engaged to Sheila/ Similar personality and behaviour to Arthur Birling.

Eva Smith: Part of working class/ Treated unfairly by her social class and gender/ Person with moral.

Inspector:  His objective is to make the characters to question their live and their behaviour.
